The Maine Snowmobile Association (MSA) promotes snowmobiling as a safe, family-friendly winter sport and works closely with local clubs to maintain over 14,000 miles of groomed trails across the state. Through partnerships with landowners, volunteers, and town governments, MSA ensures responsible trail use, public access, and environmental stewardship. Their Interconnected Trails System (ITS) allows snowmobilers to explore vast sections of Maine with clearly marked and maintained routes.

 

Locally, the Fryeburg Area Snowmobile Association maintains trails throughout the region, including those in and around Stow. Membership helps support critical trail work and keeps groomers running throughout the season. The club shares regular updates on trail conditions via their Facebook page and welcomes community involvement. Residents can support the club by joining as members, volunteering on trail crews, or attending meetings and events throughout the year.
